AAA in Coppell, TX is seeking an entry-level Auto Claims Adjuster to support the Claims Operations by handling claims of material damage, property and liability lines. Under moderate supervision, you will investigate, evaluate and negotiate lower complexity claims in compliance with company best practices.

You will interact with insureds and claimants, conduct investigations, evaluate values, negotiate settlements, and document files in our systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's equiv. combination of education and experience.
• Less than 1 year; no prior claims experience required.
• Moderate computer literacy required.
• General understanding of negligence desired.
• Advanced organization and planning recognition skills required.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills required.
• Advanced interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insureds and claimants; explain benefits, coverages, fault and claims process.
• Conduct phone/field investigations to determine liability and damages; obtain statements.
• Evaluate and determine claim values based on property, medical and liability data.
• Negotiate within settlement authority to resolve claims.
• Handle administrative functions and update claim files in company systems.
• Verify coverage by gathering information to ensure policy applicability.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and provide leads to other departments.
• Provide independent analysis differentiating allegations from facts.
• Determine policy obligations by assessing liability and damage.
• Independently resolve claim exposures within level of authority.
• Respond quickly to customer needs and problems.
