Job summary

AAA in the United States is seeking an entry-level Claims Auto Adjuster to support the Auto Claims Operation. You will handle material damage, property damage, and liability claims with moderate supervision and within defined procedures to resolve them.

Responsibilities include interviewing insureds, claimants, and witnesses; determining liability and damages; and negotiating settlements using established tools and processes. Training and compliance with licensing requirements are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• No prior claims experience required.
• License in Property and Casualty Insurance may be required to obtain an Adjuster license as applicable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer software.
• Strong organization and planning abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insureds and claimants.
• Explain benefits, coverages, fault, and claims process per regulatory rules.
• Investigate to determine liability and damages.
• Obtain statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses.
• Negotiate settlements within authority to resolve first and third-party claims.
• Review estimates and use claims technology and tools.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments.
• Respond to customer needs; overtime and holidays may be required.
