AAA Auto Club Enterprises is seeking an entry-level Claims Handler to support Auto Claims Operations. You will investigate, evaluate, and negotiate lower-complexity claims under moderate supervision, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with Best Practices.

Responsibilities include communicating with insureds, conducting investigations, assessing damages, and updating files in core systems. This role emphasizes learning and applying claims knowledge with a focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Less than 1 year, no prior claims experience required.
• Moderate computer literacy required.
• General understanding of negligence desired.
• Advanced organization and planning recognition skills required.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills required.
• Advanced interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insureds and claimants; explain benefits and process.
• Conduct phone and field investigations to determine liability and damages.
• Evaluate and determine claim values from property, medical and liability data.
• Negotiate within settlement authority with insureds and claimants.
• Update claim files and production reports in company systems (CACS/HUON/HOC).
• Verify coverage and coordinate with internal and external departments.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and provide sales leads when appropriate.
• Provide independent analysis and differentiate between allegations and facts.
• Determine policy obligations by assessing liability and damage components.
• Respond quickly to customer needs.
