Job summary

NCR Atleos in Edison, NJ, is seeking a Field Service Technician I to represent the company at customer sites, perform basic ATM maintenance, and escalate issues as needed. You will complete on‑the‑job training and use the service app for updates, while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Reside in the specified geographic area.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Reliable transportation for work.
• Familiarity with and ability to operate an Android cell phone (company‑provided).
• Ability to perform essential functions, including prolonged travel, lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, squatting, walking, standing, repetitive hand work, and working through inclement weather.
• Proof of minimum insurance coverage: Bodily Injury Liability at least $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident; Property Damage Liability at least $100,000 per accident.
• Availability for flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, overtime, and/or flex shifts.
• Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude and skillset.
• Good problem‑solving skills, quick learning, and ability to work well under pressure.
• High level of personal integrity and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Represent the NCR Atleos brand as the first line of response on-site at customer locations.
• Problem‑solve at a basic module level (FRU) and know when and to whom to escalating issues.
• Apply knowledge gained during on‑the‑job training to resolve task‑related problems in straightforward situations.
• Maintain clear communication using the service app to uphold customer satisfaction.
• Follow safety and security procedures when working on ATMs.
• Complete NCR Atleos specific training and certifications.
• Diagnose problems based on error logs from the ATM and information provided from the service app using a company‑provided cell phone.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on ATMs, both indoors and outdoors.
• Record accurate and prompt updates of work performed, including call closure details.
• Maintain parts inventory and related records.
• Accurately report hours worked and miles driven daily.
