Job summary

G&W Electric is hiring an Assembler I for various sub-assembly and assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment. You will prepare work from instructions and drawings, set up parts and assemblies, and assist with prototypes as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 0–1 year of manufacturing experience, ability to read drawings and BOMs, and basic computer skills. Safe tool use and English instruction comprehension are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 0–1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to read instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints and parts lists.
• Position parts and subassemblies and assemble components.
• Assist in building prototypes and basic assembly projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe working environment and document actions using production/quality forms.
• Inspect work and ensure it meets requirements before passing to the next operation.
