Pratt & Whitney is seeking a trainee for a 2nd shift on-site role in Maine. The position runs Monday–Thursday? 4 x 10 hour shifts, 4PM–2AM. The program is designed to train individuals with little or no machining experience to become a Certified Operator.

Selected employees will undergo 4–8 weeks of on-the-job training and learn to perform routine assembly operations on large engine sections, following operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instructions to complete tasks.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.

Responsabilités

• Learn to perform routine assembly operations on large sections of current engine designs and similar assemblies.
• Learn to verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Obtain operator Certification to be able to accept/reject parts.
