Job summary

Contoro Robotics, an Austin-based robotics company, seeks an Accounting Operations Specialist to manage day-to-day financial operations. You will handle AP/AR, expense categorization, and project-cost tracking while supporting month-end close. You will report to the Director of Finance in a fast-growing startup environment.

This entry-level role offers broad exposure to bookkeeping, accounting operations, and internal controls as Contoro scales deployments and finances for customer deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; recent grads encouraged.
• 1–2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or finance experience.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, AP, and AR.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks is required.
• Experience with Ramp or similar expense-management tools is a plus.
• Korean language ability is a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage recurring tasks and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable following up with employees and vendors to obtain required information.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities in a growing startup.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and general ledger entries.
• Process and track vendor invoices; verify documentation and approvals.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices; track payments and aging.
• Review and code expenses; manage employee reimbursements and receipts.
• Support month-end/year-end close and reconciliations.
• Track deployment project costs and allocate to correct projects.
• Prepare routine AP, AR, expense, and project-cost reports; assist audits and tax prep.
• Collaborate with the Director of Finance and external accountants.
