Job summary

Roboptic, a Taiwan-founded robotics and optical systems company, is building a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Hutto, TX. We're seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for our growing U.S. operations.

This role partners with our Taiwan headquarters and helps establish strong accounting practices and controls as the facility scales. You will oversee the general ledger, AP/AR, cost accounting, budgeting, external audits,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP FICO.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Experience managing GL, AP/AR, and reconciliations in a corporate or plant setting.
• Advanced Excel skills for building and maintaining financial models.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries and reconciliations.
• OverseeGL, AP/AR functions and cost accounting for manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate with Taiwan HQ on financial reporting and controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and compliance with accounting firms.
• Develop and mentor accounting staff as the team grows.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and HR on cost centers and payroll accounting.

We're seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for our growing U.S. operations. This role works closely with our Taiwan headquarters and plays a key part in establishing strong accounting practices and controls as the facility scales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
• Own cost accounting for manufacturing operations, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
• Prepare and analyze financial reports for local leadership and coordinate reporting requirements with the Taiwan headquarters finance team
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies in compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements with outside accounting firms
• Manage and develop accounting staff as the team grows
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and HR on cost centers, capital expenditures, and payroll-related accounting

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, specifically the SAP FICO module
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month-end/year-end close processes
• Experience managing general ledger, AP/AR, and reconciliations in a corporate or plant accounting environment
• Advanced Excel skills; comfortable building and maintaining financial models and reports
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Mandarin fluency highly preferred, given close day-to-day coordination with Roboptic's Taiwan headquarters
• Background in electronics, hardware, or precision manufacturing preferred
• Experience in a multinational manufacturing organization, especially one coordinating with an Asia-based parent company
• Familiarity with standard costing and inventory accounting in a plant/production setting
• Experience supporting a greenfield facility or rapid-growth manufacturing environment
