Qualifications

• Typing certification required: 40 words per minute with a five-minute test within the last 12 months.

• Equivalent to completion of the 12th grade or higher for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Receive, analyzes, and evaluates 911 and non-emergency calls; dispatches units accordingly.
• Dispatch sheriff units or other staff and equipment to emergencies or non-emergency locations.
• Monitor status of public safety units and ensure officer safety and availability.
• Operate multiple communications devices and computer systems to ensure swift response.
• Prepare and maintain logs, records, and bulletin information as required.
