Job summary

Washington State University is seeking an IT Business Analyst - Entry to join Facilities Services and help bridge business needs with technical solutions. You will analyze current processes, translate requirements, and support the design, implementation, and reporting across about 15 divisions to boost efficiency.

You will collaborate with Facilities Information staff and stakeholders to drive process reengineering, automate workflows, and explore AI-enabled opportunities while maintaining IT

Qualifications

• Experience using SQL query tools and BI/reporting tools.
• Experience with database technologies (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
• Experience managing Windows desktops in an Enterprise Active Directory environment.
• Extensive customer service experience in a corporate or education environment.
• Experience managing day-to-day tasks without constant supervision.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends on occasion and to travel.
• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Support business process reengineering initiatives.
• Develop and maintain reports across multiple platforms.
• Assist with automation and scripting solutions.
• Support emerging technologies such as AI to enhance operations and data-driven decision-making.
• Provide technical support for hardware and software systems across the Facilities organization.
