Job summary

Washington State University, located in Pullman, WA, is hiring an IT Business Analyst - Entry to join Facilities Services. You will collaborate with about 15 divisions to improve operational effectiveness through technology, analyze business processes, and translate needs into system requirements.

You will support reporting, automation, scripting, and emerging technologies while ensuring reliable IT services and enterprise-wide support.

Qualifications

• Experience using SQL query tools. Crystal Reports, PowerBI, or BIRT.
• Experience with database technologies (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
• Experience managing Windows desktops in an Enterprise Active Directory environment.
• Extensive customer service experience in a corporate or education environment.
• Experience managing day-to-day tasks without supervision.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends on occasion and to travel.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions.
• Analyze current processes, identify improvements, and translate needs into requirements.
• Support business process reengineering initiatives and reporting across platforms.
• Assist with automation, scripting, and emerging technologies like AI.
• Provide technical support for hardware and software across Facilities Services.
