Job summary

Amentum in Clayton, OH is seeking a 3rd shift Facility Maintenance Technician III to perform a broad range of repairs and preventative maintenance on buildings and systems. The role supports a 24/7 operation and may involve weekend work.

You will troubleshoot, coordinate with outside contractors, ensure safety requirements are met, and contribute to maintaining code standards across facilities. A high school diploma and 3 years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in the area of specialization and or combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, perform tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity.
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Reviews service requests for repairs and maintenance, determines nature of problem, and recommends appropriate solutions
• Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
• Coordinates work with outside contractors.
• Assure code and building standards are met.
• Performs repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings and facilities, equipment, fixtures, and systems.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains facility systems.
• Performs work based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules.
• Reviews work as required to document specific needs (materials, supplies, instructions, etc).
• Assists in the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment as required.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Works with or oversees subcontractor activities as directed by supervisor or work schedule.
• Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
