The ideal candidate has strong research and writing skills, a passion for entertainment history, and the ability to meet auction deadlines while collaborating with Consignment Directors and marketing teams.

Qualifications

• Strong research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Knowledge of music and entertainment history is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail when examining objects and provenance.
• Ability to translate research into engaging descriptions for collectors.
• Solid organizational skills and ability to meet auction deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Research, identify, and catalog music and entertainment memorabilia.
• Write clear catalog descriptions conveying provenance and significance.
• Examine items and prepare accurate condition reports.
• Collaborate with Consignment Directors to develop narratives and essays.
• Support authentication by gathering research and coordinating with specialists.
• Assist with catalog production and coordinate with Marketing for promotion.
• Participate in previews and auctions, providing item information to clients.
