Job summary

Talent Groups in Columbia, SC is seeking an experienced Telephony Administrator to support Avaya on-prem PBX and enterprise VoIP systems.

You will handle moves, adds, changes, voicemail, IVR, call center requests, and ensure E911 accuracy while troubleshooting voice quality and carrier connectivity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Avaya on-prem PBX administration.
• 2+ years of VoIP and Unified Communications experience.
• Strong knowledge of SIP, RTP, QoS, dial plans, call routing, and voice gateways.
• Experience troubleshooting voice quality, carrier connectivity, and E911 services.
• Experience with telecommunications infrastructure, SBCs, and PSTN integration.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Avaya on-prem PBX and enterprise VoIP systems.
• Handle moves, adds, changes, disconnects, voicemail, IVR, call center, and unified communications requests.
• Maintain accurate E911 location information.
• Troubleshoot voice quality, carrier connectivity, call routing, and SIP issues.
• Configure dial plans, vector routing, ARS routing tables, and voice gateways.
• Support media gateways, SBCs, PSTN integration, and voice circuits.
• Lead telephony-related projects and serve as technical escalation.
• Create technical documentation, knowledge articles, and system diagrams.
• Coordinate with vendors for circuit provisioning and outage resolution.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
