Job summary

Vercel in New York seeks an experienced Solutions Engineer to own the technical proof system for enterprise sales. You will craft POC playbooks, reference architectures, and competitive frameworks to accelerate deal velocity and improve proof quality.

You will collaborate with Field Engineering to standardize proof artifacts, define success metrics, and produce field-ready assets. This hybrid role offers in-office days in multiple hubs or remote arrangements depending on location.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Solutions Engineer working on complex deals.
• Ability to build reference architectures and proof frameworks.
• Cross-functional credibility across Sales, Product, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own the Technical Proof System for enterprise sales.
• Build POC playbooks for priority plays: Agent Platform, Composable Commerce, Web Performance, v0 Enterprise, AI Gateway.
• Define success criteria, baseline to target metrics, owners, and weekly readouts.
• Create 'POC in production' paths where feasible.
• Standardize proof artifacts: benchmarks, reference architectures, migration diagrams, security responses.
• Partner with Field Engineering to improve POC discipline and consistency.
• Build Competitive Intelligence and architecture-level positioning for AI platform competitors.
• Translate Product to Field Readiness and convert launches into field-ready assets.
