Job summary

Sentara Health seeks an Enterprise Resilience professional to strengthen the organization's ability to anticipate, withstand, respond to, and recover from disruptions across cyber, technology, and operations.

You will work with Cyber Security, IT, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity teams to develop, govern, and mature the resilience program, implement playbooks, and deliver executive-ready metrics and reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT program/project management experience
• 5+ years of enterprise resilience, cyber resilience, disaster recovery, business continuity, infrastructure, information security, or risk management experience
• Knowledge of ransomware-resilient recovery, immutable storage, clean recovery and isolation environments
• Experience planning or supporting disaster recovery tests, tabletop exercises, or incident response activities
• Ability to analyze complex service dependencies and connect technical recovery to business outcomes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and business audiences
• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure resilience patterns and regional recovery considerations
• Enterprise resilience assessments including technology, business operations, workforce, facilities, data, and third parties

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and mature the Enterprise Resilience Program including governance, standards, procedures, playbooks, reporting, and documentation
• Coordinate resilience assessments, business impact analyses, tabletop exercises, and disaster recovery tests
• Track findings, risks, owners, due dates, and corrective actions to closure and escalate material gaps
• Enhance backup and recovery capabilities using Rubrik, Azure-native, SQL-native, and Veeam technologies
• Improve ransomware-resilient recovery capabilities and secure restoration workflows
• Build an isolated recovery environment and automate recovery testing
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises across IT, security, and business teams
• Coordinate cross-functional tabletop exercises to test decision-making and escalation paths
• Support containment, response, and recovery during disruptions with cross-team collaboration
• Assess third-party resilience for critical services and dependencies
• Develop dashboards and executive reporting on recovery readiness and resilience maturity
• Create clear technical and business documentation and standards
