Job summary

Avalara, a leading AI-first tax technology company, seeks a Senior Project Manager to own large enterprise implementations across AvaTax for Energy, Tobacco, and related platforms. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, manage scope, risk, and stakeholder communications while partnering with executives to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive project/program management in enterprise SaaS or professional services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Operations, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record leading enterprise software implementations from initiation to go-live.
• Strong scope, schedule, budgets, RAID risk management, and change management expertise.
• Advanced PSA and collaboration tool proficiency (Salesforce PSA, FinForce, Jira, Confluence).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and govern large, high-visibility enterprise implementations end-to-end.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex ERP dependencies and cutover plans.
• Identify and mitigate program risks, manage executive expectations, and escalations.
• Drive governance, schedules, and stakeholder communications; optimize delivery templates.
