Job summary

Grand River Dam Authority seeks a Business Process Optimization Manager to lead enterprise-wide improvements that boost efficiency, customer service, and workforce productivity. You’ll partner with leaders to redesign processes, implement sustainable solutions, and drive measurable results.

You will apply Lean, data analytics, and project management while guiding change, governance, and digital enablement across departments. A high level of independence and stakeholder influence is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 7+ years in process improvement or related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives with measurable results.
• Preferred Master's degree and utility/public-sector experience.
• Lean Six Sigma, CBPP, PMP, change management, Agile, or Scrum certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives from assessment through implementation and sustainment.
• Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, recommendations, performance measures, and implementation plans.
• Advise leaders on operational challenges and improvement opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
• Partner with Information Technology and business teams to improve systems, automate workflows, and support process digitization.
• Analyze operational, financial, customer, and workforce data to identify trends, support decisions, and measure results.
• Develop and execute stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and change management activities that support adoption.
• Manage project scope, risks, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and expected benefits across multiple departments.
• Develop and execute change management plans to support successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
• Support enterprise process governance, documentation standards, and continuous improvement practices.
• Coach employees and leaders on process improvement methods and tools.
• Build organizational capability in continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
