Job summary

Jobtailor in Greenwich, CT seeks an experienced Project Manager to plan, oversee, and close complex initiatives. You will serve as a trusted advisor on risks, opportunities, and best practices, defining success criteria, resources, and schedules with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include maintaining charters, plans, status reports, and communication plans while driving risk mitigation, scope changes, and continuous process improvements within the PMO framework.

Qualifications

• College Degree or equivalent required.
• 6 years related experience.
• Expert technical knowledge.
• Knowledge of industry regulations.
• Ability to lead and coordinate the team activities of others.
• Ability to formulate, document and recommend new policies and procedures.
• Able to work in and lead a team.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
• Ability to travel as required by business and on-call availability.
• Experience using project management tools, methodologies, dashboards, reporting tools, SharePoint, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
• Accounting, tax, advisory, benefits, or insurance experience or support is preferred.
• Strong collaborative, conflict management, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• PMP, Agile, Certified ScrumMaster, or related project management certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, monitor, and oversee complex projects from inception through closure.
• Operate as a trusted advisor on project issues, trends, risks, opportunities, and best practices.
• Define project success metrics, criteria, deliverables, execution approach, staffing needs, scheduling, and accountability expectations with stakeholders.
• Apply advanced project management best practices, methodologies, documentation standards, tools, and market awareness.
• Develop and maintain project charters, plans, schedules, status reports, communication plans, risk and issue logs, and change control documentation.
• Identify, assess, manage, and elevate scope changes, risks, issues, dependencies, conflicts, and decisions.
• Develop communication plans and deliver updates to sponsors, leadership, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Manage project team and stakeholder meetings, agendas, presentations, minutes, and follow-up communications.
• Maintain project status information and communicate progress, issues, risks, and decisions.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement or recommend solutions to mitigate risk and strengthen Enterprise PMO processes.
• Administer, maintain, develop, implement, or recommend policies, procedures, practices, and standards.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, training, and guidance to project team members or less experienced staff.
• Independently manage complex project activities and priorities.
• Advise stakeholders, coordinate project resources, resolve project risks and issues, and recommend process improvements.
