Job summary

Zuora seeks a Customer Solutions Engineer – Payments to partner with Account Executives, understand client payment architectures, and demonstrate how Zuora can optimize performance while reducing complexity. You will lead discovery sessions and design architectures that scale across providers and regions.

This highly consultative role requires deep payments expertise, executive communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solution Consulting, or Solutions Architecture for enterprise software.
• Deep domain expertise in enterprise payments via PSPs, gateways, or processors.
• Knowledge of payment ecosystems (PSPs, gateways, processors) at global scale.
• Experience designing architectures for high‑volume enterprise customers.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks and modern integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Zuora's payments SME throughout the sales cycle.
• Lead discovery sessions on payment architecture and gateway strategy.
• Design flexible payment architectures across providers and methods.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and reviews for execs.
• Advise on tokenization, intelligent routing, and global payment acceptance.
• Collaborate with product, partnerships, and engineering to represent customer needs.
• Develop reusable solution assets and enablement materials.
• Support RFPs and complex enterprise evaluations.
