KellyMitchell Group is seeking a Messaging Operations Manager in Richmond, VA. This 12-month contract role oversees a team of contractors, ensures timely digital messaging delivery, and manages vendor relationships.

The role includes onboarding, timesheet review, and ongoing process improvements to drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, governance, and reporting capabilities, plus experience in messaging operations, audits, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading teams of contractors or distributed resources.
• Experience with hiring, onboarding, and performance oversight.
• Strong vendor relationships and rate oversight experience.
• Experience conducting audits, QA reviews, or compliance assessments.
• Deep understanding of messaging operations and campaign workstreams.
• Ability to create operational dashboards and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of contractors responsible for digital messaging execution, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
• Recruit, interview, onboarding, and performance management activities for contractor resources.
• Review and approve contractor timesheets while ensuring compliance with processes.
• Serve as the primary contact for vendor partners and maintain strong relationships.
• Conduct recurring audits to ensure messaging quality and compliance.
• Oversee messaging execution, testing, targeting, and deployment processes.
• Monitor team performance through reporting and dashboards; analyze data for improvements.
• Facilitate team meetings and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
