Job summary

Pensacola State College seeks a Systems Support Specialist to provide advanced technical support and administration for the College's enterprise infrastructure, including on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. This role reports to the Director, Systems Support.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with four years of enterprise IT experience; five years may substitute for the degree. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with four years of professional enterprise IT experience.
• Experience administering Microsoft enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Azure cloud services, virtualization, storage, networking, scripting, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
• Background check required and employment eligibility per Florida statute.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support and administration for the College's enterprise infrastructure (on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud).
• Install, configure, secure, monitor, automate, maintain, and continually improve enterprise servers, Microsoft 365 services, Azure resources, identity management, virtualization, storage, databases, and applications.
• Collaborate with IT staff, vendors, and campus departments to ensure highly available, secure, and reliable technology services.
