The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with four years of enterprise IT experience; five years may substitute for the degree. Background checks are required.

The Systems Support Specialist provides advanced technical supportand administration for the College's enterprise infrastructure,including on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. Thisposition is responsible for the installation, configuration,administration, security, monitoring, automation, maintenance, andcontinuous improvement of enterprise servers, Microsoft 365services, Azure cloud resources, identity management,virtualization platforms, storage, databases, and business-criticalapplications; works collaboratively with Information Technologystaff, vendors, and campus departments to ensure highly available,secure, and reliable technology services while supporting theCollege's strategic initiatives. Reports to Director, SystemsSupport.
Graduation from an institution thatholds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Educationand approved by the College with a bachelor’s degree in ComputerScience, Information Technology, or a related field and four yearsof professional experience administering enterprise ITenvironments, including Microsoft enterprise infrastructure,Microsoft 365, Azure cloud services, virtualization, storage,networking, scripting, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.Five years of progressively responsible enterprise systemsadministration experience may substitute for the requiredbachelor’s degree. A successful criminal background check isrequired.
Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibilityrequirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of §435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations.Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A FloridaDepartment of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition ofemployment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverseinformation contained in the background investigation at the timeof submitting the employment application will be disqualified fromemployment.
Prefer experience with MicrosoftActive Directory, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Purview,Azure Virtual Desktop, and automation using PowerShell and KQL.Experience administering Hyper-V, SQL Server, IIS, SAN storage,enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloudenvironments.
