Pensacola State College is seeking a Technology Support Technician to assist with college-owned computers, laptops, peripherals, and software across classrooms, libraries and labs.
You’ll help onboarding workers for network and telecommunications and ensure end-user files are backed up and software reinstalled and functioning.
Job Description: The Technology Support Technician participates in a variety ofelevated supportive functions for all College-owned computers,laptops, peripherals and software for student, faculty, and staffend-users in computing spaces, classrooms and libraries, andsupports onboarding workers for network and telecommunications.This position participates in installation, upgrades, andmaintenance of all end-user computer equipment (including lab andclassroom instruction computers and audio-visual equipment) andsoftware, ensuring all end-user files are properly backed up andall application software is reinstalled and functioning properly.The Technology Support Technician must possess strong verbal andwritten communication skills with the ability to be detail-orientedin a fast-paced, team-oriented environment; excellentproblem-solving skills, including researching for technicalinquiries, and providing solutions; and demonstrate a positiveattitude and excellent customer service skills. This positionrequires availability to work evening, weekend, and/or occasionalholiday hours as determined by the supervisor.
