Job summary

Tuknik Government Services, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator to support TGS and our government customer in Carlsbad, NM. The role requires coordinating with network engineers, service desks, and federal staff to maintain enterprise IT infrastructure.

You will perform system updates, backups, and security hardening, while developing documentation and reporting on multiple projects. Candidates must have 2+ years of IT support experience and Windows server/AD expertise.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or 4 years of IT experience, with 2+ years in Windows server administration and Active Directory.
• Experience with WAN in forest domains is preferred and education may substitute for experience with government approval.
• 2+ years of IT help desk or service desk experience and familiarity with tracking/workload systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute with network engineers, service desk, federal staff, and IT Operations Manager to manage enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Maintain high availability, performance, and security across all systems; document and report on multiple projects.
• Perform regular updates, patches, backups, and monitor system performance to prevent downtime.
• Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures; provide escalated technical support.
