Job summary

Nationwide IT Services in New Cumberland, PA seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to ensure secure, efficient operation of enterprise systems across multiple locations. This onsite role supports server platforms, AD, PKI, and automation while guiding a team of admins.

The position requires a TS clearance, DoD 8570/8140 certs (IAT II/III), and extensive Windows Server expertise with strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Ten years of specialized experience in information processing across multiple disciplines.
• 4+ years in enterprise software installation, configuration, and support.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and DoD-appropriate certs.
• Tier 5 investigation and Top Secret clearance required.
• IAT II or IAT III baseline certification; DoD-approved computing environments.
• Microsoft Administrator Associate preferred; extensive server/admin experience.
• Experience administering enterprise servers, networks, and security configurations.
• Strong capacity/performance analysis and system-optimization background.
• Experience leading other system admins and coordinating priorities.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Windows Server engineering and administration, Active Directory, server builds, monitoring, file services, migrations, patching, Group Policy, hardening, PKI, automation, and incident response.
• Plan, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize enterprise server platforms and network software.
• Direct and sustain information-management systems configuration and operation.
• Provide local and remote maintenance for multiple locations including upgrades and deployments.
• Analyze and resolve end-user software, system-performance, access, and connectivity issues.
• Conduct capacity, availability, and performance analyses; recommend changes and technology refreshes.
• Automate recurring admin tasks via approved tools and scripts to improve efficiency.
• Develop and enforce admin procedures, runbooks, and configuration documentation.
• Conduct system-administrator training and knowledge transfer.
• Direct and coordinate work of other admins across multiple systems/locations.
• Apply knowledge of application networking, load balancing, high availability, and fault tolerance.
• Perform vulnerability management, remediation, and reporting.
• Monitor system health, security, utilization; investigate incidents and perform root-cause analyses.
• Recommend technology direction and infrastructure improvements aligned with business goals.
