Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a Computer Support Engineer to perform enterprise-level IT tasks, including systems administration and end-user support for PC hardware, software, and peripherals across the judiciary. The role requires effective communication to work with users diplomatically and to document and test software deployments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with at least 15 semester hours in computer science, computer information systems or related areas and two years of experience in IT systems such as programming, systems analysis/design, or configuring hardware/software in a server/microcomputer environment.
• Additional experience beyond the minimum may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Supports personnel using state and county software/hardware, and networked desktops, laptops and printers.
• Maintains, troubleshoots and supports PC hardware, operating systems, software applications, peripherals, and communication devices.
• Works with routers, switches and video conferencing equipment to support the courts network infrastructure.
• Analyzes user needs, designs, tests, deploys and maintains software installations in the organization’s computing environment.
