Job summary

ERock is seeking a Fleet Manager to lead our enterprise fleet program in Houston, TX. You will own DOT/FMCSA compliance, safety, availability, and lifecycle planning, with the VP of Planning & Inventory as your reporting manager.

You will establish scalable standards, manage budgets and vendor relationships, and collaborate across Operations, Safety, HR, Finance and Legal to keep vehicles and drivers safe, compliant, and ready to serve customers.

Qualifications

• Experience owning or administering a DOT/FMCSA compliance program for a commercial fleet.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years in fleet/transport/logistics, with 3+ years leading a function or enterprise program.
• Knowledge of federal/state/local DOT regulations and interpretation for business stakeholders.
• Experience managing fleet budgets, vendors, and lifecycle decisions.
• Proficiency with fleet management software, telematics, GPS, and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise fleet strategy, operating model, policies, and multi-year roadmap for acquisition, utilization, maintenance, replacement, and disposal.
• Own the DOT and FMCSA compliance program, including driver qualification files, hours-of-service, inspections, and audits.
• Maintain regulatory records and monitor compliance indicators, elevating risks when needed.
• Lead driver qualification processes and onboarding with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee maintenance, recalls, registrations, permits, insurance, and lifecycle management.
• Develop budget, forecasts, and total cost of ownership analyses; advise on lease-versus-buy decisions.
