Job summary

HNTB seeks an senior Engineering Technology Owner to lead the lifecycle of engineering technologies across the enterprise. You will guide governance, evaluation, deployment, and ongoing optimization of critical platforms while coordinating with vendors and stakeholders to align technology with project delivery goals.

You will drive adoption, create standards and training, and provide expert guidance to practitioners across disciplines and offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental), Drafting, Architecture, Urban Planning, or IT and 16+ years of experience using engineering technologies to develop or support transportation projects
• In lieu of degree, 22+ years of experience using engineering technologies to develop or support transportation projects

Responsibilities

• Acts as the engineering technology owner for select engineering technologies across the lifecycle, evaluating hardware, software and cloud solutions for deployment.
• Leads discussions with technical practitioners, project teams, and stakeholders to support adoption of engineering technologies.
• Develops and maintains technical workflows, standards, guidance, training materials, and knowledge transfer via classroom, virtual learning, and hands-on coaching.
• Provides technical guidance and support to practitioners, resolving issues and improving workflows, standards, and support processes.
• Coordinates vendor relationships and service strategies, influencing roadmaps and contract language where applicable.
• Performs ongoing research, testing, validation, and documentation to support informed technology decisions and modernization initiatives.
• Stays informed on industry trends and advises leadership on opportunities and risks across transportation projects.
• Supports cross-functional collaboration to improve engineering workflows and project delivery outcomes
