Job summary

National Cooperative Bank seeks a strategic leader to head Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance. This executive will shape the bank’s data and AI roadmap, establish governance for data, context, and AI assets, and drive programs across data architecture, data quality, lifecycle management, and information governance.

The role reports to the CIO and requires collaboration with risk, compliance, and business leaders to ensure trusted, secure, and accessible data assets that support growth,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/DM/Business or related field; Master's preferred.
• Experience leading data governance and data strategy programs in financial services.
• Experience in AI governance and responsible AI practices.
• Strong collaboration with executive leadership and governance committees.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise data strategy and operating model.
• Establish governance structures, KPIs, operating procedures, and communications frameworks.
• Lead planning for enterprise data, information management, analytics, governance, and content management capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data assets to improve performance and risk management.
• Collaborate with business and tech leaders to prioritize data initiatives and ROI.
• Develop data portfolios with business cases and cost-benefit analyses.
• Oversee data governance, data quality, metadata, and data lifecycle programs.
• Lead the Data Product Owner function and data product operating model.
• Partner with AI and analytics teams to enable responsible AI initiatives and data readiness.
