Job summary

Texas Capital Bank seeks an experienced Chief Data & AI Officer to lead data and AI strategy, governance, and platform leadership across the enterprise. You will manage a sizeable team of data engineers, AI professionals, and support staff, aligning with the Board on risk and value realization.

The role requires deep technical fluency in modern data stacks, AI security, governance, and cross-functional collaboration with business units and risk functions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or AI leadership.
• 8+ years managing large, multi-disciplinary teams (50+ employees).
• Advanced degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Refine and own the enterprise data and AI strategy, roadmap, and investment case.
• Lead data governance and AI governance across the firm.
• Run the Executive Data & AI Council and arbitrate prioritization disputes.
• Define operating model with lines of business and data products.
• Report AI risk posture and realized value to the Board.
• Oversee data and AI platforms including Kafka, SQL Server, Postgres, Snowflake, Calibra.
• Develop AI infrastructure for LLM deployment and agentic technologies.
• Establish AI security standards, guardrails, and model access control.
• Drive architectural alignment with CTO and shared infrastructure teams.
• Budget management for technology and talent with transparency.
