Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation is seeking a Manager – Data Governance to lead the design, implementation, and operation of the enterprise data governance program. You will establish policies, standards, and processes that ensure data is accurate, secure, and trusted across the organization.

You will build and maintain the data catalog and data dictionary, define lifecycle controls, onboard data owners and stewards, and partner with Business, Analytics, and Cyber teams to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information-related field with 5+ years designing data governance programs and operating models.
• Experience with data governance platforms such as Purview, Collibra, or Alation.
• Knowledge of data quality, metadata management, lifecycle governance, and data dictionary concepts.
• Ability to establish data owner/steward accountability and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Strong communication, documentation, and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds the enterprise data governance framework, including operating models, policies, standards, and processes.
• Establishes the enterprise data catalog, data dictionary, and data inventory as authoritative sources for data asset definitions.
• Defines governance processes for data creation, classification, management, and lifecycle.
• Onboards and enables data owners and stewards through training and accountability frameworks.
• Assesses integrations for governance gaps and enforces data integrity across systems.
• Develops data quality controls, metrics, and dashboards to monitor data health.
• Partners with Business, Application Services, Analytics, and Cyber teams to prioritize governance initiatives.
• Supports analytics with governed, trusted data for reporting and decision-making.
• Defines and enforces enterprise data standards and naming conventions.
• Establishes AI governance with policy and registry considerations.
