Job summary

Central Hudson in the United States is seeking a Manager – Data Governance to lead the enterprise governance program. You will design the data governance framework, establish a data catalog and dictionary, and ensure data integrity across systems with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include enabling data owners and stewards, defining lifecycle processes, and building metrics and dashboards to monitor data health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or closely related field; 5+ years designing data governance programs.
• Experience with governance and data catalog platforms such as Purview, Collibra, or Alation.
• Knowledge of data lifecycle, metadata, quality controls, and governance tooling.
• Ability to translate governance concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional alignment and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds the enterprise data governance framework, including operating models, policies, standards, and processes.
• Maintains enterprise data catalog, data dictionary, and data inventory as authoritative sources.
• Defines governance processes for data creation, classification, and lifecycle.
• Onboards and enables data owners and stewards with training and accountability frameworks.
• Assesses integrations for governance gaps and enforces data integrity across systems.
• Develops data quality controls, metrics, and dashboards to monitor data health.
• Partners to prioritize governance initiatives based on risk and business value.
• Supports analytics with governed, trusted data for reporting and decision-making.
• Establishes enterprise data standards and AI governance policies.
• Builds roadmaps with milestones and quick wins for governance maturity.
• Supports storm restoration efforts.
