Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security architecture across the enterprise. You will lead strategy development, guide technical security solutions, and ensure effective controls to mitigate risks in both on‑prem and cloud environments.

The role requires 10+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years in leadership, strong knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS, and hands‑on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Proficiency with security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM, DLP).

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy.
• Design secure IT environments including network and cloud security.
• Architect and implement security controls for on‑premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct risk assessments of current technologies and ensure policy compliance.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework and incident response plan.
• Lead incident response efforts and coordinate with legal, compliance, and communications teams.
