Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a high‑impact Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and sustain a robust security architecture across the enterprise. You will lead security strategy, governance, and incident response while partnering with IT, legal, and business teams to protect critical systems.

The role requires deep expertise in cloud and on‑prem security, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with leadership
• Experience in enterprise security architecture and frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS)

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, and data security.
• Architect and implement security controls for on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee vulnerability management and incident response planning.
• Lead security governance and policy development across the organization.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on risk appetite and incident response.
• Lead third‑party risk assessment and security due diligence.
• Provide cybersecurity leadership and training across departments.
