Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a robust security architecture across the enterprise. You will lead security governance, risk management, and incident response programs to protect critical logistics systems and data.

The role requires senior expertise in cloud security, vulnerability management, and secure development practices, with a focus on aligning security with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 in leadership or as an architect.
• Deep understanding of security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM, DLP, endpoint protection, encryption.
• Cloud security expertise across AWS, Azure, GCP; IAM and cloud-native security.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Design secure IT environments including network security, cloud architecture, IAM, and data protection.
• Architect and implement security controls for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct risk assessments on new technologies and applications.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework of policies and standards.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategy, risk appetite, and incident response.
• Oversee integration of security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management) into IT architecture.
• Ensure compliance with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS, PCI-DSS, HIPAA where applicable.
• Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing efforts with internal/third-party teams.
• Establish vulnerability management and incident response processes.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
