Job summary

Databento, a market data platform for modern finance, is seeking a Billing Support Specialist to own invoicing and billing for enterprise clients. You will guide customers through invoices, resolve disputes, and ensure accurate billing via Stripe, NetSuite, and QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation with a calm, patient communication style.
• Experience resolving billing disputes, collections, or accounts receivable/payable issues.
• Familiarity with recurring billing cycles (usage-based or subscription).
• Prior billing/healthcare/financial services experience is a plus.
• Organized and detail-oriented; capable of end-to-end process ownership.
• Experience with billing or invoicing software (Stripe, NetSuite, QuickBooks) is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree required; fintech/SaaS/startup experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary billing contact for invoices, payments, disputes, and related inquiries.
• Walk customers through charges and discrepancies with a calm, personable approach.
• Contribute to improvements in invoicing templates, FAQs, and billing docs.
• Set up enterprise account billing, generate/send invoices, and keep Stripe data current.
• Ensure enterprise clients are billed accurately and handle dunning communications end-to-end.
• Manage billing disputes from intake to resolution, coordinating with Sales or Finance as needed.
• Support renewals and mid-term upgrades and handle vendor invoices for data fees.
