Job summary

Sigma Computing is seeking a Solution Engineer to act as a trusted advisor across prospects and customers, partnering with Sales, Product, Engineering and Support. You’ll own the technical presales cycle, including demos, prototypes, and responses to RFPs/RFIs. Travel up to 25% is expected as you engage across enterprise accounts.

You will work to convey business value, build bespoke demos, and grow your product expertise within a fast-growing cloud BI company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of business intelligence experience.
• Strong understanding of database concepts.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• ETL experience (Fivetran, Matillion or traditional ETL).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Understand business challenges and run targeted discovery sessions or workshops.
• Engage with business users to define, create, and showcase solution prototypes.
• Build and present customized demos for customers, trade shows, and webinars.
• Present the business value of the Sigma platform to all levels inside an organization.
• Deliver product, technical, and security responses on RFPs/RFIs.
• Participate in product, sales, and technology certifications to grow skills.
• Contribute as a team player, sharing knowledge.
• Discuss integration and data migration approaches for enterprise sales cycles.
• Manage multiple customer engagements concurrently.
• Attain quarterly and annual objectives.
• Become a Sigma champion and product expert for prospects and customers.
