Job summary

Sigma is seeking a Solution Engineer to join our growing Solution Engineering team in San Francisco. You will act as a trusted advisor, delivering technical presales, creating prototypes, and presenting customized demos to drive enterprise sales.

You will work cross-functionally with Sales, PM, Engineering, and Support, and travel up to 25%. The role emphasizes building demos, addressing RFPs/RFIs, and helping customers realize the Sigma platform's value across data integration, analytics, and

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of business intelligence experience.
Strong customer relationship skills.
Solid understanding of database concepts.
Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
ETL experience with Fivetran, Matillion, or traditional ETL.
Excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced startup environment.
Experience implementing production BI solutions or proofs of concepts.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent technical & business experience.
Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Understand and uncover customer challenges; run targeted discovery sessions or workshops.
Engage with business users to define, create, and present solution prototypes.
Build and present customized demos for customers, trade shows, and webinars.
Present and articulate the business value of the Sigma platform to all levels within an organization.
Deliver product, technical, and security responses on RFPs/RFIs.
Stay aligned with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Support to advance opportunities.
