Job summary
Sigma Computing is seeking a Solution Engineer to partner with Sales and customers in deploying a cloud-native BI platform. You will own technical presales, deliver compelling demos, and craft prototypes that translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions.
You will work with field teams across Enterprise accounts, align on security and data migration approaches, and contribute to certifications while managing multiple engagements and travel up to 25%.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of business intelligence experience.
- Strong understanding of database concepts.
- Cloud data warehouse experience with Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery.
- ETL experience with Fivetran, Matillion or traditional ETL.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
- Travel expectation around 25%.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer challenges and conduct targeted discovery sessions.
- Define, create, and showcase solution prototypes for business users.
- Build and present customized demos for customers, trade shows, and webinars.
- Present and communicate the business value of the Sigma platform to stakeholders.
- Respond to RFPs/RFIs with product, technical, and security details.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering and Support to win deals.
