Job summary

n8n GmbH is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to turn enterprise deployments into production-ready patterns. You’ll embed on-site with customers, collaborating with Deployment Strategists and Product to deliver scalable automation solutions.

You’ll translate complex customer environments into practical designs, build reusable workflows, and contribute to playbooks while driving measurable outcomes in a remote-first, travel-friendly role.

Qualifications

• Solid full-stack or backend engineering experience with production integrations.
• Experience building APIs, integrations, or automation pipelines.
• Ability to distinguish between a one-off workaround and reusable product features.
• Comfortable working directly in customer environments and building trust with engineers and operators.
• Strong design sense to translate problems into practical technical designs.
• Good judgment to avoid gold-plating and keep solutions simple.
• Willingness to travel roughly 30–50% for on-site engagements.

Responsibilities

• Embed on-site with enterprise customers for focused deployment engagements, arriving with a hypothesis and leaving with production workflows.
• Design and build workflows and custom nodes tailored to customer environments and scalable beyond the initial use case.
• Collaborate with Deployment Strategists, Product and Engineering to align execution with customer priorities.
• Create reusable learnings, workflows, and integration patterns for internal playbooks.
• Deliver time-boxed engagements with clear outcomes and scalable solutions.
