Job summary

n8n is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to drive high-impact enterprise deployments. You will embed with customers for focused 5-day engagements, turning their environments into production workflows and reusable automation patterns.

You will collaborate with Deployment Strategists, Product, and Engineering to push for scalable, productizable solutions while ensuring engagements deliver measurable value and ownership to the customer.

Qualifications

• Solid full-stack or backend engineering background with production integrations and automation pipelines.
• Experience building integrations, APIs, or automation tools in real environments.
• Ability to distinguish between workarounds, reusable improvements, and product features.
• Comfort working directly in customer environments, building trust with engineers and operators.
• Ability to translate messy problems into clean, practical technical designs.
• Strong technical judgment to avoid over-complex solutions and to push back when needed.
• Willingness to travel roughly 30–50% for on-site engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site deployment engagements, delivering production-ready workflows within time-boxed engagements.
• Design and build workflows, integrations, and custom nodes for customer environments at scale.
• Identify when bespoke work should inform product features or platform improvements.
• Capture repeatable learnings, patterns, and playbooks to accelerate future engagements.
• Keep engagements focused and scalable, delivering outcomes customers can own and operate.
