Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is hiring an AI Integration Data Scientist / Engineer to lead secure, scalable AI adoption across the Technical Services Group. You will identify high-impact AI use cases, embed AI into core workflows, and ensure responsible implementation aligned with security and compliance objectives.

You will collaborate across departments to drive automation, enhance decision-making, and improve customer experience and operational efficiency, delivering practical AI integrations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience with a degree in CS, Data Science, or engineering.
• Advanced degree may substitute part of the experience requirement.
• Experience in AI/ML implementation, automation, or systems integration; strong ML/NLP/data engineering literacy.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to identify AI use cases with measurable ROI.
• Design and implement AI-powered solutions integrated into existing workflows.
• Build prototypes and proofs-of-concept to validate AI apps at scale.
• Collaborate across teams to drive AI adoption and alignment.
• Evaluate third-party AI platforms and models with IT and security.
• Ensure AI integrations comply with data governance and privacy regulations.
• Work with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders for seamless integration.
• Develop documentation, training, and enablement resources for AI literacy.
• Monitor performance, adoption, and impact; iterate based on feedback.
• Stay current with emerging AI tech, regulations, and ethics.
