Job summary

BS&A Software seeks an AI Automation & Integration Engineer to build and operate the shared AI foundation, enabling teams to deploy AI solutions safely and cost-effectively. You will work with approved models, APIs, and enterprise data sources, delivering reusable patterns and patterns for scalable production deployments.

The role focuses on integration, automation, and enablement rather than model research, demanding strong capabilities in orchestration, security, and cost controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software, platform, or integration engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering AI-enabled applications or workflows using LLM APIs from Anthropic, OpenAI, or comparable providers.
• Experience with retrieval and knowledge integration, tool calling, AI orchestration, or other AI-application development patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to build integrations and APIs against enterprise systems such as SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, Salesforce, or comparable platforms.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and observability.
• Hands-on experience with at least one low-code automation or agent-orchestration environment such as Copilot Studio, Power Platform, n8n, or Zapier.
• Understanding of data classification, authentication, authorization, access control, secrets management, and secure integration patterns.
• Ability to operate in new spaces, create reusable patterns, and adapt to changing requirements.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Judgment on when AI is appropriate vs deterministic software and balancing experimentation with reliability.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain BS&A's shared AI capabilities, including approved models, APIs, and frameworks.
• Create reusable templates and reference implementations to accelerate delivery across departments.
• Build integrations with knowledge sources like SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, Salesforce with proper security and access controls.
• Support model upgrades, migrations, and deprecations with minimal production disruption.
• Develop enterprise AI solutions when centralized ownership is appropriate and enable teams to build on shared capabilities.
