Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Senior Director, AI & Digital Transformation, Operations to define and execute the enterprise digital strategy across Supply Chain, Quality, PDS&T, Engineering and Security.

The role reports to the VP of Operations AI and Digital Transformation and shapes a multi-year roadmap to deliver measurable business value. The candidate will lead digital governance, ensure regulatory/compliance alignment (GxP), and drive adoption of Industry 4.0/5.0 capabilities across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's or MBA preferred.
• 15–18 years in biopharma/pharma/regulatory ops, with 8+ years leading enterprise-scale digital strategy or transformation.
• Proven ability to set multi-year digital roadmaps and deliver value across sites and functions.
• Deep understanding of Industry 4.0/5.0, digital manufacturing tech, and GxP environments.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders in a global matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the 3–5 year Operations digital strategy and target-state architecture.
• Translate strategy into a prioritized, funded roadmap with adoption plans.
• Establish digital standards, reference architectures, and data foundations across sites.
• Chair digital governance forums; ensure GxP/data integrity and cybersecurity are built into initiatives.
• Develop talent and lead cross-functional teams to scale pilots to multi-site deployments.
