Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in North Chicago, IL seeks an Associate Director of Transformation within the IIT group to drive strategic initiatives, including AI-driven programs, across the enterprise.

You will partner with senior stakeholders to design and sustain transformation programs that enhance operational agility and business outcomes. You will lead cross-functional workstreams, coordinate with product development, manufacturing, and digital acceleration teams, and present findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (PharmD/PhD/MD/MBA).
• 4+ years with Bachelor's, 3+ with Masters, or 2+ with PhD in a fast-paced environment such as management consulting, pharmaceutical R&D, or manufacturing.
• Experience with AI applications and enterprise-scale deployment; product-focused tech exposure, especially AI/ML roles.
• Experience managing large projects in a complex matrixed organization; consulting to pharma or cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams of strategic transformation initiatives (AI-driven and non-AI) across the enterprise; align stakeholders including senior leadership and external partners.
• Lead modules within complex initiatives; research and problem-solve with stakeholders; distill insights for data-backed recommendations across product development, manufacturing, and AI acceleration.
• Prepare executive-level communications and present recommendations to AbbVie leadership.
• Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and agility within AbbVie.
