Job summary

Nemours is seeking an Access Specialist III to coordinate scheduling and patient access across the Otolaryngology services. The role acts as a liaison between providers and families, ensuring timely data collection for demographics and insurance information in the EMR.

You will verify insurance and authorizations, document the encounter in the EMR, and discuss financial obligations with families while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 3-5 years of job related experience required.
• Minimum three years of scheduling or administrative assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to families to schedule appointments and follow up as needed.
• Promptly answer incoming calls from patients/providers to schedule appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and authorizations using available resource tools.
• Accurately notate accounts and communicate pertinent information to clinic, registration, and billing teams.
• Educate callers on preparation for appointments and financial responsibilities.
