Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking an Access Center Specialist II - Otolaryngology ENT to act as a liaison between providers and patients. The role handles scheduling, registration, and insurance verification across Nemours facilities and partner sites while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3–5 years experience in Health Care, Call Center, or Customer Service.
• Experience with insurance verification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to families to schedule patient/provider requested appointments.
• Promptly answers incoming calls to schedule appointments as needed.
• Process patient/provider consult requests via email, EPIC in basket messages, or Nemours app.
• Provide a smooth transition for all internal and external customers with excellent service and communication.
• Ensure accurate processing of information for insurance verification, registration and billing in the EMR system.
• Schedule patient appointments per division guidelines and communicate updates in a timely manner.
• Inform callers of any authorization needs and assist with obtaining authorizations if applicable.
• Refer patients to Financial Advocates for financial assistance when needed.
• Educate callers on appointment preparation and requirements for productive visits.
• Maintain confidentiality and document pertinent information for clinic, registration, authorization, billing.
