Job summary

Mountwest Community & Technical College seeks a Student Services Specialist to assist with admissions, enrollment, and student support from application to first day of class. Responsibilities include guiding applicants, helping with FAFSA and financial aid questions, and coordinating with Admissions, Financial Aid, Advising, Accessibility & Wellness, and other Student Services areas.

Bachelor’s degree in education, student services, or related field is required, with strong communication skills;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Experience in higher education preferred and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming, student-centered point of contact for Student Services.
• Assist prospective students with admissions applications and general overview of Mountwest programs.
• Assist students with FAFSA, financial aid questions, and next steps in the process.
• Provide assistance with general forms, paperwork, and routine Student Services needs.
• Coordinate with Admissions, Financial Aid, Advising, Accessibility & Wellness, and other Student Services areas.
• Participate in targeted recruitment events and enrollment initiatives.
• Support enrollment and student success efforts at off-campus locations.
• Develop partnerships to recruit special populations and ensure a positive student experience.
