Job summary

Columbus State Community College is seeking a part-time Student Services Specialist to support new and continuing students through the enrollment process. The role rotates among Student Central, Admissions and Placement Testing to guide students on financial aid, registration, residency for tuition, and campus services.

The Specialist assists in person and by phone, email and chat, counsels on financial aid, records, and placement decisions, conducts campus tours, and participates in Welcome

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of clerical experience in a related function.
• Ability to work 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with admissions, financial aid, registration and college policies.
• Provide in-person, phone, email and chat support to students.
• Lead campus tours and participate in Welcome Team activities.
• Counsel students on placement tests, residency for tuition, and financial obligations.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and support workshops and events.
